Television Programming Criteria |

|
- The broadcast hour for each network is comprised of 12-minutes advertising and 48-minutes editorial programming;
- The weekly schedule for each network is based on 56-hours of 1st run programming in each of the English language (CASN) and the French language (RSAC);
- All competition/event coverage will be run on both CASN and RSAC;
- Other programming segments will be produced uniquely for CASN and RSAC respectively; and
- The 1st run programming content wheel is 8 hours per day with 2 repeats. Time allocations are based on weekly averages and may vary from week to week based on the seasonal availability of event programming.
Competition / Event Coverage will be produced by CASN/RSAC, co-produced with another network, or acquired through another national or international licensed broadcaster.
Separate Weekly Magazine Shows will be produced each with dedicated English (CASN) and French (RSAC) language hosts who will report on topical sports stories relevant to the unique characteristics of their regions - demography, geography, cultural heritage,climate, etc. - . The shows will offer analysis and interpretation of the world of Canadian amateur sport:
- Performance of Canadian amateur athletes;
- Sport financing, athlete/team funding, sport facilities;
- Guest interviews ;
- Documentaries profiling athletes and/or athletic events;
- Elite athletics vs. recreational athletics;
- Training, fitness, diet; and
- Community updates
Theatrical Feature Films will be limited to available programming that is consistent with the network(s)’ Canadian amateur sports mandate and that will provide inspiration through example. This will represent only a minor portion of the annual programming schedule.
